Six years ago, Peter left a lock for us at the famous Seoul Tower Locks of Love when he was studying abroad in Asia.

We should have continued the tradition so I’m a little sad we’ve missed out on leaving locks at all of the places we have traveled together so far.

But it’s never too late to start again! Right now, we’re in Arlington, Virginia. Peter joined me here the night before my conference ended and I extended my stay here so we could wander around Arlington, Georgetown, and DC (more about our trip coming later).

I wanted to start leaving locks again because we’ve traveled to so many different places.. from large cities like New York City to the middle of no where like the Trona Pinnacles.

This weekend, we left two locks: one in Arlington and one in DC. The lock we left in Arlington is in a little bush next to a bench in front of Coldstones in Crystal City where Peter and I ate ice cream two nights in a row. If you sit back in the bench, there’s a little clearing of leaves that perfectly frames the lock. In any other position, the lock is pretty much hidden inside.

I can’t wait to travel more and continue leaving locks everywhere we go!
