Monday morning, I woke up feeling sluggish with a tingle in my throat. It’s almost expected of me to get sick at the end of a trip because I exhaust myself from all the things I try to cram into a day. So of course I woke up with the beginnings of a cold on our last day in New York. 🙁

Our first stop of the day was to the B&H store. It’s a huge audio/visual electronics store that’s almost like a cross between Fry’s Electronics and Santa’s workshop. There were conveyor belts running all around above our heads with boxes of merchandise moving back and forth. We bought a camera stabilizer and watched them electronically pull the box from storage and watched the box make its way down the conveyor belt to the cashier. By the time we paid and went to the pick-up counter, it was already bagged and ready to go!

Peter and I spent the rest of the morning walking along the High Line. It’s a beautiful stretch of old, elevated railroad tracks turned into a park and garden.

Before returning to our apartment for the last time, we stopped at Capizzi for lunch and grabbed another round of bubble tea at a local shop.

Then, we went back to the apartment to pack our things, cleaned up a little, and said our goodbyes to Marusya and New York City.
