Building the Great Wall of Thai – Part 2
Phase 1 of The Wall is complete! We have finally finished constructing and painting the concrete wall and are already moving on to cementing the wood posts to start the next phase: fencing. I’m just going to pretend it’s not going to take a hundred wood planks, a bajillion screws, and 500 million hours to build this fence.
Because this is a corner house, we have to build a wall along the side of the property (shown) and also along the front of the house (on the right side of the photo). The property has a huge backyard, hence the really long stretch of wall. Phase 1 of The Wall has been a long and difficult one. We’ve worked under the hot sun, had many arguments, and endured many frustrations within the almost 2 years it took for us to build the wall from scratch.
I am SO ready to finish the rest of the Great Wall of Thai. We’ve even begun drafting plans for a house remodel/addition so I can’t wait until everything is all said and done. Get ready for Thai House Version 2.0!
